Design and production of a dynamic match programme and supporting promotional materials for the England Rugby Schools Cup Finals, celebrating grassroots talent with bold, energetic visuals.
The England Rugby Schools Cup Finals represent the pinnacle of school-age rugby in the UK, hosted at high-profile venues such as Allianz Stadium and Ealing Trailfinders. The RFU needed a set of professionally designed programmes and supporting collateral to celebrate the event, provide useful information, and showcase the young talent taking part.
Graphics Monkey was tasked with designing the official 36-page match programme, supported by large format event posters. The visual approach blended bold, athletic energy with clarity and usability. We utilised a graphic system inspired by motion and impact, with layered gradients, dynamic type and strong visual hierarchy to distinguish fixtures, player profiles and key info.
The programmes were distributed at both venues and made available online via QR code, ensuring access for both physical and digital audiences. The materials were praised for their clarity and energy, while effectively capturing the excitement and prestige of the event. The design helped reinforce the RFU’s commitment to developing grassroots talent and promoting school-level rugby to a national audience.
